Your Performance Driving Course - Own Car

Our performance Driving Course is 25 laps of pure pleasure with coaching individually adapted to suit your car and ability. If you want to learn how to really get to know your car, gain confidence in your driving and truly get the best out of your time behind the wheel, then this is the experience for you. This unique experience allows our track drivers to take away new skills and knowledge that can only be gained from quality time on track.

The Track

Knockhill Racing Circuit is Scotland’s only approved Motorsport UK and FIA Internationally graded Circuit and is famous for hosting major televised motorsport events such as the British Touring Car and the British Superbike Championships.

The Race Track

A demanding road-circuit style track, 1.27 miles (2km) long, and 30 feet (10 m) wide, with a dramatic series of twists, turns, drops and climbs, varying by around 200 feet (60m) from highest to lowest point. Drive on the same International Circuit as driven by Jackie Stewart, Stirling Moss, David Coulthard, Lewis Hamilton, Paul Di Resta and our very own BTCC Stars Gordon Shedden and Rory Butcher.

What a great day out! This was a birthday gift driving a 306 bhp turbo Honda Civic Type R - just the thing for lovers of speed. Not only was this an awesome experience for the participants but also for their families and friends. There are lots of options for viewing. Staff are friendly and very pleasant and helpful. Instructors are patient and encouraging and keep things going in a personable and light-humoured manner. Thanks and well done Knockhill Racing Circuit.

Good afternoon, I wish to express my gratitude for an excellent experience we had for my partners, birthday. Firstly I had a wonderful service from Lorna who was patient with me, friendly, polite and excellent customer service skills. On the day, the customer service continued to excel and my partner thoroughly enjoyed the experience, I now think I have opened the flood gates and he will be returning regularly! And finally the food was just the cherry on top to end our day, the young girl made us all fantastic chips and set us for the journey through Glasgow in rush hour! Licences
A full valid UK/European driving licence is required for the Formula Racing Car Experience
 
Your Car 
Road cars must conform to MOT minimum standards.  Track Cars must follow Motorsports UK current safety regulations for track cars. All cars must have working seatbelts regardless of age, they must be in good condition both mechanically and bodily and suitable for its intended use on the track. It is your duty to ensure that the vehicle remains in this condition for the duration of the activity. Knockhill Racing Circuit has a noise limit of 105db. 
 
Fuel: Please be aware that we are unable to sell you fuel for your car, please ensure that you purchase fuel on route to the circuit.
 
Insurance
Most insurance policies do not cover your vehicle for track use.  You should check your policy with your current insurer.
 
What to Wear
Casual, comfortable clothing with flat soled footwear, jeans and trainers are ideal!  
 
Before the Event
You will be sent a registration document and link to watch a safety briefing video, please complete this at home before your experience.
