Summary

The summer racing season is in full swing as Round 3 of the Scottish Championship Car Racing series takes over Knockhill. Get set for another weekend of fierce competition, fast cars, and non-stop action as Scotland’s top drivers go wheel-to-wheel for valuable championship points.

Fresh off putting on a fantastic show at Oulton Park’s BTCC round, the Scottish Legends Car Championship makes its highly anticipated return. Also back for Round 3 is the Scottish Modsports Race Championship, alongside the SMRC’s Scottish MINI Cooper Cup, making their first Knockhill appearance of 2026. Rounding out the action-packed weekend, the Scottish Fiesta ST Cup joins the grid on Saturday, followed by the Scottish C1 Cup on Sunday.

Joining the grid for this mid-season showdown are visiting rounds from the British Superkart Championship, Classic 2CV Racing Championship, the DDMC Northern Saloon & Sports Car Championship, and SEAT Supercup Ireland — adding even more variety and excitement to an already packed schedule.

This event also features the Gerard McCosh Race, continuing the legacy of the Gerard McCosh Trophy Meeting for the Legends Championship.

Come and experience the sights, sounds, and atmosphere of Scottish championship racing at its summer best — fast, competitive, and full of Knockhill energy!

Excellent day out to watch the SMRC race meeting on Sunday 13th July. A rare beautiful sunny day which definitely pushed drivers, and tyres, to their limits. Very reasonably priced ticket for the amount of track action with some brilliant close racing in most of the categories. The commentary throughout the day was highly informative from the gents in the tower, explaining the various formats and regulations, and it is obvious how passionate they are about motorsports from their reaction to on track action. Grid Walk for the Scottish Legends was a nice touch for families and well attended, offering a nice opportunity to interact with drivers and cars. Noticeable improvements in trackside facilities for spectators too but still more areas to be worked on, which I am sure the management team are looking into. I'll definitely be back to watch the SMRC meetings again after being a regular attender for the BTCC and BSB over the years.

Great circuit. Demanding to ride but very rewarding. Circuit facilities are first class. Lovely clean hotel standard toilets and fantastic food and beverages from the dining facilities.

I went to Knockhill, a few weekends ago for the Ford Live event, (my first time) I wasn’t sure what to expect, due to me being a wheelchair user and reading the reviews on Tripadvisor, I was a little concerned, however I didn’t need to worry because on arrival I was directed to the hairpin in my car, which surprised me, my local circuit Donington Park only allows you to park track side for major events, and even then it is only at one corner. Knockhill is incredibly accessible, admittedly there are a few steep slopes to get to the viewing areas but it’s worth it you get really close and I mean REALLY close to the action
